“It is an absolute certainty that on February 4, we still don’t know how, something will happen,” said the artist, who wants to celebrate the 15th anniversary of the Bloco da Preta next year

Preta Gil confirmed that, despite treatment for bowel cancer, he will celebrate Carnival in 2024. In an interview with the magazine Who, the artist said that the doctors still do not recommend a party like she used to, but confirmed that she will make some adaptations to celebrate the season and the 15 years of the Bloco da Preta. After receiving his diagnosis in January, the singer canceled the party this year. Look down.

“It is very likely that the actual carnival, on the street, in lockdown, as we would like to happen in 2024, may not take place due to medical restrictions. I need quite a bit of time to rehabilitate and cope with the heat of Rio de January. Doctors still consider it a little unhealthy for me to have a carnival like I did before”, said the artist.

Even so, it guarantees some kind of celebration in 2024. “It is an absolute certainty that on February 4th we still don’t know in what form, whether it will be in the electric trio, on the street, whether it will be closed, whether it will be late, but something will happen”, he added.

Recently, during her participation in the series Angélica 50 & Tanto, the singer recalled the period in which she discovered bowel cancer while experiencing a marital crisis with Rodrigo Godoy. On the show, she said she filed for divorce from him in a hospital bed.
