No new songs or studios: the group should continue on the road over the next year, with shows in countries not yet explored on the current tour and an unusual rumor
THE Guns N’ Roses is in Brazil for five performances, part of a world tour that ends in November. However, the band shouldn’t be off the road for long, as the plan appears to be to play more shows next year.
Maybe it’s a cold shower for those who were hoping for new music — only four tracks have been released since the return of Slash and Duff McKagan. The focus of the next tour will be North America.
During a recent appearance on the TrunkNation radio show (transcription via Consequence), Slash stated that the band should tour the United States in 2026. It would be Guns’ first shows in the country since 2023.
He said:
“I can say that we will definitely do an American tour next year. An announcement should be made soon, so I can safely say that it will happen. We have been doing a lot of international stuff all year, so we need to get back here, we plan for next year.”
The group is already on its fourth tour since returning from Slash and Duff McKagan to the group. A Not in This Lifetime… Tour lasted from 2016 to 2019, with eight performances in Brazil. The band returned in 2022 for the We’re F’N Back Tour!, during which they performed ten shows in Brazilian lands.
Curious rumor
Guns N’ Roses’ schedule may even have an unusual commitment. Rumors suggested by vehicles such as the website Rio Preto Indica, focused on the city of São José do Rio Preto, indicate that a presentation by the group in the city in the interior of São Paulo would be practically certain in 2026.
As Guns played in Ribeirão Preto, also in the interior of São Paulo, during their visit in 2022, the idea of São José do Rio Preto is not completely unrealistic. It remains to be seen the official announcement predicted by Slash to determine whether the rumor is valid.
