Globoplay launches the podcast with the season dedicated to Charlie Brown Jr.

The podcast Pop culture show, by Globoplay, debuted last Wednesday (29th) focusing on the main milestones of national pop culture. The first season, entitled The wrong that went rightalready has its first episode available exclusively on Globo streaming and is dedicated to Charlie Brown Jr.group created in Santoscoast of San Paolo, of Crybaby (1970-2013), Champignons (bass – 1978-2013), Marcão Britto (guitar), Thiago Castanho (guitar) e Renato Pelado (drums) and considered one of the most iconic in Brazil.

The presentation of the podcast is Guilherme GuedesFrom Multi-showwhich features interviews with friends, relatives and people who worked with musicians at different stages of the musical phenomenon that took the country by storm.

In the audio narrative documentary format, The wrong that went right Its title is inspired by the band’s song of the same name and revisits the story and the conquest of a multitude of fans. The first episode recalls the impact of the untimely death of Crybabya charismatic and intense leader, in 2013.

From then on, over the course of eight episodes, Guedes takes listeners on a journey from the beginning of it all, from when the band had another name, providing an overview of the skateboarding scene, proximity to rap, as well as detailing the backstory the scenes of the decisive moments, such as the troubled changes of members, the announcement of the end of Charlie Brown and creation of a new group, The bankpreserving the lineup, but without the iconic singer.

“By a great coincidence, I wanted to develop a project like this, telling the story of Charlie Brown Jr., and when they brought me the proposal, I was very happy. I was able to delve deeper, try to explore all the layers of this story. Because more than talking about music, we talk about complex people, who have joys and sadness, difficulties, anxieties and charisma. So, I love working on the project, I feel very enthusiastic about what we are developing and what I’m sure the public will like,” comments the presenter Guilherme Guedes.

In 2023, both Crybaby How much Champignons complete 10 years of death, but the importance of the two as individual artists and as members of one of the most relevant bands on the musical scene remains strong.
