Singer and songwriter Day Limns has allowed herself to discover herself in her personal life throughout her professional growth. Single for the first time since she publicly admitted to her two most recent relationships, the latest nearly 5 years, the artist, who identified as a lesbian, revealed she’s in a new place .
In participating in the Interview with Foquinhaaired this Thursday (30) on Youtube of the journalist, Day turned out to be like a pansexual woman.
“I lived 20 years of my life repressed like many teenagers and young people… I always thought that kissing someone on the mouth was completely surreal, even more so from a woman, and when I was a child I began to understand and I well understood in mind that in order for a woman to like you, you had to be a man…”He said.
After this moment, the artist found herself single for the first time. For her, this was the key to rethinking concepts of her and understanding the possibilities of her feelings.
“I started living a single life, I started talking to my therapist a lot. I started realizing that there’s a part of me where I see women as God… There’s really this problem of putting women on a pedestal. But I also realized that people are so interesting, and when this gender thing fell apart, in me, my mind exploded, so I began to understand myself much more as a pansexual person, which perhaps expands in all directions and doesn’t put up a barrier. Today I see myself as a person without limits”explains the singer.
The fear of judgment, recalling the moments when he was young, when he was an active member of an evangelical church, could not stop his moment of self-discovery and liberation: “These are new things, I was scared, it’s scary. When I kissed a man, it’s a mouth, it wasn’t bad. And I wanted to do it. It was new to me and I even blamed myself for it.”
