Spoiler ahead for Jurassic World: Dominion.
original steven spielberg Jurassic Park cinema has changed the world of cinema forever, also thanks to revolutionary visual effects that debuted in the 1993 classic. The beloved film starring Sam Neill, Jeff Goldblum and Laura Dern, who he recently met for the new blockbuster Jurassic world: domination. And director Colin Trevorrow “never thought” to kill any of the franchise’s legacy characters for a very emotional reason.
Jurassic fans were thrilled to see the original heroes return to the big screen and take on dinosaur action Jurassic world: domination. Colin Trevorrow reassured fans from the start that they would have major roles in the film, which turned out to be true. While some viewers feared that Ian Malcolm, Ellie Sattler, or Alan Grant could be killed, this was never in the cards for Trevorrow. He recently explained his approach to him as he appears alone ReelBlend podcast, saying:
There was a discussion about BD (Wong). He was a little touch and disappeared for a second. And there was a point where we talked … his redemptive story in this movie is something that’s important to me. Still, you can be redeemed and still can’t, you know? We often have to pay for our sins with our life. We ended up thinking that it was important for him to live so that he could move forward, which of course, in the context of the films, is crucial. As for our legacy characters, you know, it’s really interesting. I’ve thought about it a lot. I’ve never considered it.
Well now you have it. While BD Wong’s Dr. Henry Wu could have been a villain in the last two Jurassic world movie, he was always safe from being killed during DomainThe operating time of 146 minutes. How they were the heroes played by characters like Laura Dern , Jeff Goldlbum and Sam Neill. In fact, the only original character to bite the dust in the film was Lewis Dodgson.
But exactly why Colin Trevorrow made this decision for (most) of Jurassic Park OG? Other franchises like Scream Yes Star Wars have quickly killed inherited characters on its return to the big screen. It turned out that it was a very emotional decision, as Trevorrow shared with ReelBlend hosts,
And the reason is that I feel that the death of these icons from our childhood is like a drill for the death of our parents. I think they’re preparing us for something we know is coming and it’s really, really sad. And when people left that movie, I wanted them to have hope and really feel that the characters I know and love are safe. Including dinosaurs. They will be fine. And I think based on when this film reaches audiences, where we are in our history, both as a fan and as a human being on the planet, I think this particular film, we had to end at a point like, ‘You know? What? We can do it.’
I don’t cry, you cry. While the Jurassic The franchise is known for dealing with unusual circumstances, it is always made by people. And Colin Trevorrow thought that killing the beloved original characters of Domain it would leave the public with sobering thoughts about mortality and aging. Instead, Trevorrow left the original trio and BD Wong’s Doctor Wu behind. survive the trio with all its members.
Jurassic world: domination completed the current story, so it’s unclear how long the property will take to return to theaters. This is all the more true as the Colin Trevorrow Part 3 Reviews they were less than positive.
