Public faced difficulties when trying to buy tickets for ‘The Eras Tour’ in pre-sale for ‘verified fans’
The lead plaintiff in a lawsuit against Live Nation over the sale of tickets to the The Eras Tour,in Taylor Swift, dropped the case. In December last year, fans from 13 states in the United States filed a complaint in Los Angeles court alleging that Ticketmaster violated California laws during pre-sales for “verified fans”.
Many reported slow online queues and inflated prices on resale sites, including Ticketmaster, even before the official pre-sale on November 15, 2022, began. The company admitted difficulty in dealing with high demand. Swifthowever, stated that her team and she were assured that the site would do the job.

Next month, Michelle Sterioff opened proceedings. However, she recently dropped the case by settling with the company. Document dated August states that the two sides “agreed to continue ongoing discussions on a settlement through mediation.” It was not clarified what type of agreement would have been reached (via NME).
