Madonna fans were left angry Wednesday night (12/13) after the singer delayed her “The Celebration” tour show by three hours. The event took place at the Barclays Center in the Brooklyn region of New York (USA), with a scheduled start time of 8pm.
“I don’t give a fuck if you’re Madonna. If you’re 3 hours late you’re just rude,” one fan retorted. “The show was supposed to start at 8.30pm. Madonna started at 11pm. The whole arena is angry at her being late. Great show, but started too late,” another noted, adding that the opening of DJ Honey Dijon with “house music” was supposed to be “boring”.
Additionally, some fans expressed dissatisfaction with Madonna’s performance and demanded refunds of ticket prices: “I love Madonna, but it’s really amazing how she’s literally 2 hours late for her FIRST show in the US,” yes complained a profile on X (formerly Twitter).
Tour in Brazil
In November this year, Madonna caused a stir by promising her own tour of Brazil. The statement was made during a show in Germany during “The Celebration Tour,” when she asked how many Brazilians were in the audience.
This isn’t the first time Madonna has mentioned Brazil on tour. Earlier this month, the artist went viral when she was called “hot” during a show in Lisbon and she joked: “she must have been Brazilian” [que disse isso]”.
Despite the promise, the singer is not scheduled to perform in the country.
