This Friday morning (22), the attacker Gabigol received a serious accusation in STJD. According to information on the GE website, he is being accused of trying to cheat an anti-doping test this season. The case would have happened on May 8th of this year. However, the complaint only came to light at this moment and has already moved behind the scenes of Brazilian football.

Also according to the publication, Gabriel is framed in article 122 of the Brazilian Anti-Doping Codewhich refers to “fraud or attempted fraud of any part of the control process“. After the information, the attacker Flamengo spoke about the accusation.

Athlete Gabriel Barbosa, his family and staff were aware of the article published this Friday (22) on the website Globo.com. The Flamengo player comes out to confirm that the test was carried out and the result was negative. Given such information, there is nothing that could harm or violate protocol rules. We reiterate that, at no time, did the athlete attempt to cheat the exam“.

The case cited by STJD happened in Vulture’s NestCT do Flamengo. Gabigol has been accused of making it difficult to carry out the exam since the arrival of the officials responsible for the collection. With the exception of the striker, the players of the Flamengo they took the exam before the 10am training session. However, the entity stated that the player tried to cheat the exam on several occasions.

First notified on May 30th, Gabigol sent an official defense through the lawyer of the Flamengo. However, the Brazilian Doping Control Authority (A B C D) maintained his position and made the formal complaint to the STJD. Now, the player goes to trial.
