With intense guitars and lyrics about modern anxiety, new phase of the British band bets on a confessional and emotionally raw post-punk
THE Suede has just announced your new album,Antidepressantsscheduled for September 5 via BMG, and revealed the first single of the project: the explosive and melancholy “Disintegrate”. The track points to a more dark and visceral album, plunged into post-punk influences with a confessional touch.

It is about the tensions of modern life – paranoia, anxiety, neuroses. All seeking connection in a disconnected world. ”
Live recorded with the producer Ed Buller – Same behind the band’s debut single in 1992, The Drowners -, the album brings back the emotional urgency and the melodic lyricism that mark the identity of the Suede. “It’s broken music for broken people,” he summarizes Anderson.
According to the bassist Mat Osmanthe new work is “ambitious, cinematic and made to be felt with intensity.” The band promises a more direct and raw sound, without losing the emotional grandeur.
Antidepressants The acclaimed Self -effect (2022) and stresses that, even after three decades of career, the Suede It remains restless – and with a lot to say.
