Billie Eilish she is slowly feeling more comfortable with herself. However, self-acceptance has been a long journey for the 20-year-old singer, who has struggled with body appearance issues.
In an interview with Sunday Times (via Yahoo!), Eilish revealed that the relationship with her own body is “not good at all,” but that it has improved recently. “My relationship with my body has been a really horrible, terrible thing since I was 11 years old,” she said.
“I love that my body is mine and that it is with me everywhere I go. I kind of think of my body as my friend. My ugly friend! It’s complicated. But what are you going to do?,” he explained.
At the beginning of your career, Eilish he wore only baggy clothes, avoiding showing his body as much as possible, but even so, he received comments from the public. “No matter what you do, it’s wrong and right. When I wore baggy clothes no one was attracted to me, I felt incredibly unloved and sexy and beautiful, and people criticized me for not being feminine enough,” she recalled.
When the singer graced the cover of Vogue wearing a pink corset in sexy photos, she also fell victim to mean social media comments: “So you wear something that shows off more and they’re like, ‘you’re a fat bitch.’ I’m a bitch and I’m a sellout like that. I’m just like any other celebrity selling their bodies, and wow! What the fuck do you want? It’s a crazy world for women in the public eye.”

Even with thousands of fans in different parts of the world, Eilish admitted that she “honestly never feels wanted.” “I have this preoccupation with feeling so unwanted that I might have occasionally tried too hard to be wanted. It makes me sad to think about it,” she admitted.
