Britney Spears withdraws praise for Justin Timberlake and quips: ‘Are you going to cry to your mother?’

Britney Spears praised Justin Timberlake’s new singles, but deleted the post after her ex-boyfriend said he didn’t want to “apologize to absolutely anyone”

Britney Spears seems to have received the message from Justin Timberlake. In a post on Instagram, made this Thursday, the 1st, the singer wrote: “Someone told me that they are talking shit about me on the streets!!! Do you want to bring it to the table or go home and cry to your mother, like you did to last time??? I’m not sorry!!!”

The comment was made after Justin Timberlake, performing in New York, introduce the song “Cry Me A River” saying: “I would like to take this opportunity to apologize to absolutely no one.” The speech took place at a show celebrating his 43rd birthday, last Wednesday 31st.

It was unclear whether the singer was referring to Spearswith whom he had a relationship between 1999 and 2002. The track’s music video stars a blonde actress, similar to Britneywhile the lyrics sung by Justin talks about betrayal.

Spears praised the new single by Timberlake, “Selfish”, a few days earlier, in a post that has since been deleted. The singer republished a video in which her ex-boyfriend appears alongside Jimmy Fallon It is The Roots at the The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon and wrote:

I want to apologize for some of the things I wrote in my book. If I have offended anyone I truly care about, I am truly sorry. I also wanted to say that I’m in love with the new song by Justin Timberlake‘Selfish’ 🌹 It’s so good, and how can I laugh so much when I see it Justin It is Jimmy together???
