Recently recovered from cancer, Preta Gil canceled her carnival show after having an illness. The singer was unable to keep up with the pace of the celebrations and she chose on Tuesday (13/2) to follow the doctor’s advice to dedicate herself to her health.
“My little body was asking for rest. There have been so many emotions in these days. Today I didn’t feel well and my doctors advised me to stay at home on this last day of Carnival, to rest. But don’t worry, I’ll be well soon”, he said in a statement posted on social media.
Preta Gil was supposed to perform together with rapper Xamã. The artist regretted the cancellation, but guaranteed her presence next year: “I am sad that I cannot sing with my friend Xamã, but my health comes first. The love I have received in the last days is inexplicable. Until 2025! “
