The boy’s entry into the proceedings will call into question the portion of the estate that belongs to the artist’s widow
Gabriel, son of the singer Gal Costa, has decided to go to court to claim his rights to the inheritance and defend what he believes is his mother’s will. Gal died in November 2022. The information comes from the columnist of NewspaperMonica Bergamo.
The boy recently turned 18 and hired two lawyers to represent him in January this year, Luci Vieira Nunes and Mariana de Athayde Ferreira. Because of them, he claims to take advantage of his age to “act according to conscience, free from influences”.
His entry into the controversy will call into question the portion of the singer’s estate claimed by Wilma Petrillo, Gal’s widow. He asks the court to recognize a stable union with the singer, which lasted 24 years. And, if granted, she will be entitled to 50% of the inheritance, as well as being able to manage the artistic assets together with Gabriel.
According to the editorialist, Gabriel’s defense states that Wilma only played the role of manager of the singer and godmother of the boy, and that the sharing of assets and care of the assets must be discussed. At the time of the singer’s death, the boy was placed under the temporary custody of Petrillo.
OR Earth failed to spot Wilma Petrillo’s defense. The space is open for demonstrations.
