HBO is preparing a documentary series on the life and career of singer Carlinhos Brown. The production will have four episodes featuring testimonials from friends, family and other notable names in Brazilian popular music (MPB).
The series was recorded in collaboration with Giros Filmes, but has not yet received a release date or project name announced on streaming. The work will retrace the musical journey of the artist who marked the history of Bahia.
“The documentary series portrays the childhood of a poor boy, through adolescence, late literacy and the discovery of music, up to his consecration as a pop icon, known throughout the world,” reads the synopsis.
