No Doubt was announced in the line-up of Coachella, a festival that takes place in April
Gwen Stefani confessed that he avoids listening to some songs from No Doubt, which make her feel bad. “I can’t hear many of the songs because they speak so clearly to me”, explained the singer in an interview with Audacy Check In (via People). “And it’s like, you know, you have regrets and mistakes that you’ve made. Most of the songs are about that.”
Stefani revealed that one track in particular is difficult to revisit: “If I sing ‘Ex-Girlfriend,’ even when I say it, I almost throw up in my mouth. It’s like, ‘Oh my God.’ It takes you back immediately.”
“There are a lot of times when you’re on tour doing the repetitive songs, but they’re not the songs. You’re not in the songs. You’re there with these new people every night, and they’re getting the songs,” the artist recalled about the beginning of No Doubt.
“That’s where you get the energy and you kind of relive that moment with them. It’s really interesting. I can’t believe I was chosen to have this life because it’s such an amazing way to express yourself but also get to know yourself.”
