The return ofAvatar: The Last Airbender
In 2018, Netflix announced a new project that excited many fans at the time: a series Avatar: The Last Airbender live. Screenwriter Albert Kim has worked to offer us a new version of the cult animated series, which follows the adventures of Aang, a young man on whom the hopes of the world rest.
To play Aang, production behind Avatar: The Last Airbender chose Gordon Cormier. Kiawentiio, Ian Ousley and even Dallas Liu were also chosen around him. Netflix has also brought in more established names like Ken Leung and Tamlyn Tomita. Daniel Dae Kim and George Takei, who voiced the characters in the original series, were also offered roles. The former even inherited the role of Ozai, the formidable Fire Lord.

Since Netflix’s announcement, fans will have had to wait many years before they could discover the new version ofAvatar: The Last Airbender. But now it’s really available. The streaming platform chose this Thursday 22 February to put the series online.
This first season ofAvatar: The Last Master air is made up eight episodes of approximately one hour. Currently, reviews of this series seem positivewithout being unanimous. ON Rotten tomatoesthe show has so far garnered the rating of 77% from the public and 68% from journalists. Now it’s your turn to form your own opinion.
Will there be a season 2?
At this point, the future ofAvatar: The Last Airbender remains uncertain. Netflix has not yet officially renewed the series for a second chapter. But we can think so the situation is likely to change rapidly.
There is no doubt that the streaming platform will announce it a season 2 if the first episodes are successfulS. Oro, these are well on their way to achieving a great audience rating given the hype around this new series. We can therefore definitely be optimistic about our chances of seeing new episodes of the show.
