Country singer Chrystian, a former duo with Ralf, has been admitted to a hospital in Sao Paulo to undergo pre-operative tests for a kidney transplant operation. The information was confirmed this Thursday (22/2) by the artist’s press office.
“We inform you that the singer Chrystian is hospitalized at the HRIM – Hospital do Rim, of the Oswaldo Ramos Foundation, undergoing pre-operative examinations, for a kidney transplant surgery which will be carried out on March 11, in the same hospital, by the doctor Doctor José Medina Pestana,” the team reported.
The compatriot was diagnosed with polycystic kidney disease, a hereditary disease in which clusters of cysts develop in the patient’s kidneys. On March 11 he will undergo surgery, during which he will receive an organ donation from his wife Key Vieira, via laparoscopy.
Chrystian is doing well and is maintaining his performance schedule normally until his scheduled surgery date. Furthermore, the artist already has a date set to return to the stage after the procedure: April 20th.
