The Brazilians of Natiruti announced the dissolution of the band last Monday, the 26th, after 28 years on the road. To cap off a cycle, the musicians released a video for their fans, followed by the announcement of a farewell tour that will begin in June, in the city where it all began.
“We are closing a wonderful cycle and we want you all with us in this beautiful and important moment. We believe that our mission, so far, has been accomplished”, said the singer, reads the video in which the band announces the news.
This is the condition of our existence: to be born, to grow, to bear good fruit and to be reborn,” the video says.
Natiruts started in 1996 and, since then, has had several successes on Brazilian radio. The first success was Freedom inside the headsince 1997, followed by Hummingbird giftwhen the reggae group was still called “Nativus”.
Over the course of their career, they have received two Latin Grammy nominations: in 2013, as Best Contemporary Pop Album for the Acoustics in Rio de Janeiro and, in 2021, For Best song in Portuguese with trace Tears of joy.
