The American rapper will perform at Cidade do Rock with Matuê, OneRepublic and Zara Larsson on September 13
The Rock in Rio organization announced this Thursday (29/1) the headliner for the opening of Rock in Rio 2024. The chosen one was the American rapper Travis Scott, who will perform in the main show at Palco Mundo on September 13 .
On the same day, the show of Matuê, representative of national trap, was also confirmed, who will hold a presentation designed specifically for the festival with the participation of TETO and WIU.
In addition to them, OneRepublic and Zara Larsson have joined the program. The American band with the hit “Counting Stars” and the Swedish pop singer will perform on the second day of the festival, September 14, together with Imagine Dragons and Lulu Santos.
On social media the revelation of the new names was greeted with frustration, as the public expected to see Madonna confirmed by the production. Since tickets go on sale before attractions are announced, this type of reaction has become increasingly common in relation to events of this size.

This year, Rock in Rio celebrates its 40-year history with a new Mundo stage, a larger Sunset stage, as well as a new area called Global Village and other new features.
