Anita reached the top of the radio charts in Chile with his single Thousands of timesafter an acclaimed performance at the Viña del Mar Festival. The feat was announced by Republic Records/Universal Music Chile, reporting the song as the most listened to on Chilean radio stations on Thursday 29th.
Thousands of timesreleased in 2023, it is part of the album Funk generation, which is expected to be released later this year. The song, which explores the funk melody genre, talks about the vicious cycles of comings and goings in certain relationships.
The success comes after her participation in the renowned Latin American festival, where the Brazilian singer was awarded the coveted Silver Gull and Golden Gull, trophies awarded at the Viña del Mar Festival, in Chile. The Silver Gull is a prestigious award, while the Golden Gabbiano represents an even higher level of honor for the event, highlighting exceptional performances and significant contributions to music.

The singer, who was already expecting to take home the Silver Seagull trophy, was surprised by the additional prize of the Golden Seagull. The announcement came while Anitta was in the locker room and she shared on her social media her surprise and joy at receiving the news, underlining her affection and gratitude for the Chilean fans.

He talked about what happened on social media. “I went to the locker room, changed, when, suddenly, my brother came and he said to me: ‘Look, they want to give you another prize!’ I didn’t know! I didn’t imagine that I would get another award. I was already without clothes! I thought, ‘Should I come back without clothes? I’ll put on a towel and let’s go?'” he said.
