Rock fans were just surprised by a completely unexpected cover, featuring one rock legend paying homage to another. It’s Keith Richards of the Rolling Stones singing “I’m Waiting for The Man” by the Velvet Underground.
They are two almost contemporary bands, which represented the dangerous side of 60s rock, they were and are very influential and had completely different trajectories.
The song and video are part of “The Power of Heart – A Tribute to Lou Reed,” which will be released in April and will feature more versions of Lou classics from veterans of rock, folk and even country.
