5 facts about the Beatles’ behind-the-scenes albums [LISTA]

Check out curiosities behind the classics of the famous Liverpool band

Composed by John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Starr, The Beatles is considered one of the greatest bands of all time, winning several awards over the years.

With that in mind, the Rolling Stone Brazil selected 5 curiosities about some albums by the Liverpool band. Check it out below:

1. Top 500 songs list

Launched in 1964, “Please Please Me” This is the group’s first studio album. Composed of original songs and covers, this album is also included in the list of the 500 best songs of all time by rolling stone.

2. Bob Dylan Influences

Next year, The Beatles released “Rubber Soul”, which has strong influences from Bob Dylan. In this disc it is possible to notice songs with greater emotional charge and social criticism. Furthermore, the song “Norwegian Wood”present in this album, revolutionized the music of the time by bringing the sitar as its main instrument.

3. Songs composed in India

Also known as “White Album” or “White Album”the disk “The Beatles” has more intense and daring songs that were composed during a trip to India, more specifically in a retreat with Maharishi Mahesh Yogi.

4. Songs composed in a hotel room

Launched in 1964, “A Hard Day’s Night” features tracks composed in a hotel room. In addition, the album marks one of the most daring phases of the band and is the first work of the group with all songs composed by the boys from Liverpool.

5. Experimental and psychedelic tracks

In “Revolver” from 1966, it is possible to notice a greater presence of experimental and psychedelic tracks. In addition, in this work, the visual and artistic issue was very important for the composition of the album cover, which has photo collages made by the members’ friend, Klaus Voormann.
