UBC celebrates women with ‘Song Camp: For Them Who Make Music’

On the eve of International Women’s DayTHE Brazilian Union of Composers (UBC) announces the launch of the series Song Camp – For those who make musica pioneering initiative that celebrates and promotes female talent in the music industry.

The series, which premiered this Thursday (7) on UBC to the Youtubeis one of the entity’s actions to celebrate the Women’s Month.

Performed over a week, in January 2024, the first musical field Exclusive for women designed by UBC it was a journey of collective creation and female empowerment. The setting chosen for this creative meeting was the spectacular studio Sonasterylocated in the Serra de Minas Geraiswhere ten talented creators, including composers, musicians, arrangers and producers, have come together to share theirs experiences, inspirations AND talents.

The series consists of four episodes, published weekly, which document the creation process and collaborative dynamics of all the artists involved. The episodes will be available for free on the channel Youtube from the UBCand the initiative will also be highlighted in the March issue of UBC magazine.

The project will culminate with the official release of the song Let it flourishcomposed, produced and recorded during musical fieldon the main digital platforms, during the day March 28coinciding with the last episode of the series.

OR Song Camp – For those who make music not only did he achieve his goal of producing a new song, but he also exceeded expectations by composing additional songs throughout the week, highlighting the group’s strength and synergy.

Fernanda TakaiDirector of UBC and mentor of the project, was present in the last two days of creation and expressed her admiration for the process and the work carried out by the participants, who continued their musical creation even outside the studio, gathering in the hotel pool to continue to compose.

“A project like UBC’s Song Camp reinforces this experience between women, in a safe, loving environment, with technical excellence, demonstrating that the differences between each of them are their greatest asset! Beautiful songs have emerged, in addition to the plural complicity feminine”, States Fernanda Takai.
