Singer Mariah Carey will perform at Rock in Rio 2024, which takes place in September. The artist herself published a video to confirm and celebrate the news. “Brazil, I’m coming!”, she wrote in Portuguese on her social networks.
However, fans found one detail about the show strange. The singer will not be featured on the main stage, but on the Sunset stage, closing the line-up on September 22nd. It is worth mentioning that the September 22nd headliner on the main stage, called Mundo, will be singer Shawn Mendes.
Unlike the vast majority of artists confirmed at the event, the show will mark Mariah’s debut in the City of Rock. Furthermore, the singer’s last visit to Brazil was 14 years ago, which tends to improve her performance.
