According to the information on the website Surveythe legendary Australian rock band AC/DC has sold more than 1.5 million tickets in a single day.
The site interviewed last week, Chris Dalstondirector of the agency’s international tours CAAresponsible for big name shows like Lionel Richie, Bon Jovi AND Queen.
In his analysis, Dalston highlighted the most recent tour of AC DC Regarding ticket sales: “We believe it will be one of the biggest tours of all time, but you never know for sure until the tickets go on sale… You can’t sleep, I was nervous,” the executive explained.
And he continued: “I woke up at 2:30 or 3 in the morning and Europe had already opened (ticket sales) – and we had already sold out some shows.”
Dalstonthen, he revealed: “They sold 1.5 million tickets in one day… It’s impressive because they’re very particular in how they do their business. They don’t do VIP. They don’t do dynamic ticket pricing. They never want to hear fans complain about it the ticket prices are very high. There’s even a point where we push a little because otherwise they couldn’t afford to go on tour, especially when they play one day and take three days off.”
To date, the AC DC count with 21 shows scheduled for Europebetween days May 17th and August 17th. For Chris Dalstonthe planned dates could help convince the band to expand their current tour.
“Obviously, the goal is to hope they continue, if they like it and if it works well… try to keep them on the road in 2025, 2026, 2027, however long they want to play, but we have to get through Europe first.”he concluded.
