Taylor Swift became the first artist to surpass the 200 million plays mark on Spotify in just one day with the release of The Tortured Poets Department, her 11th studio album. The information is from Variety.

In addition to the historic feat, the artist also placed the new release at the top of the most listened to albums on the audio platform, surpassing her own records once again. Before, Midnights2022, and 1989 (Taylor’s Version)released in October last year, occupied the same position and are currently the three most listened to albums on the service.

The new album Taylor Swift arrived on digital platforms on Friday, April 19th, in two versions: The Tortured Poets Departmentwith 16 songs, and The Tortured Poets Department: The Anthology, with 15 additional songs. Both include the album’s standout partnerships: “Fortnight”with Post Malonewhich was chosen to be the first single of the new era; It is “Florida!!!”with Florence + the Machine.
