Morrissey reveals he has regained rights to two albums from Capitol Records

After a long legal battle, Morrissey became the holder of the rights to Bonfire Of Teenagers and World Peace Is None of Your Business

Responsible for songs like “Suedehead,” “Everyday Is Like Sunday,” “First of the Gang to Die” It is “Let Me Kiss You,” Morrissey revealed how he recovered rights to two of his albums, originally held by Capitol Records.

In a post made on his website, called Morrissey Central, the artist spoke about the case that had been going through the courts for several years. For the Capitol Recordshe made the record Bonfire Of Teenagerscompleted in 2021 and never released.

Originally, the album was going to be released in 2023, but Morrissey explained how he had “voluntarily withdrawn from any association with the Capitol Records.” Furthermore, Miley Cyrus would have recorded backing vocals to the music”I Am Veronica,” and later asked to withdraw her participation.

“Morrissey paid the exit fee to Capitol Records to give him back the albums WORLD PEACE IS NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS It is BONFIRE OF TEENAGERS,” he wrote. “It has been a long, difficult and bloody war. Few would make it out alive and… I’m no exception. Morrissey remains without a contract.”
