Buchecha asks for a blood donation for Anderson do Molejo

The singer of the group Molejo needs donations to help cure a rare cancer in the groin region

Buchecha, Claudinho’s former couple, has asked for a blood donation for the pagodeiro Anderson Leonardo, hospitalized for cancer of the groin region. The funk singer launched an appeal on Instagram for his followers to fight for the health of singer Molejo.

“Hi guys, how are you? I’m going to ask you to continue going to Hemorio or to a nearby collection point to donate blood, of any kind, for our dear Anderson Leonardo, who is really in great need right now.”, Buchecha said.

The funk singer also gave more information about blood donations: “We are counting on your support. Just say the code 10473433 and say it is for Anderson Leonardo. We are counting on you. Thank you in advance for your love and emotion from Everyone. Kisses, simply love!”, he concluded.

Where to donate?

Donations to Anderson Leonardo can only be made in the state of Rio de Janeiro, the capital or the city of Petrópolis. Among the locations, donors can look for the Blood Serum Bank (Centro do Rio); Home Shopping (Barra da Tijuca); Posse Nova Iguaçu Hospital or Santa Teresa Blood Bank (Petrópolis).

Anderson Leonardo’s health

Anderson Leonardo was diagnosed in October 2022 with groin cancer, a rare type of disease, located in the groin region. The artist was considered “cured” in January 2023, but returned to treatment in May of the same year.

In February 2024, singer Molejo was admitted to a private hospital in Rio de Janeiro, where he underwent immunotherapy and painkillers. He was discharged from hospital in March after undergoing a “hypogastric nerve plexus block procedure for pain”, which was successful.

However, the disease progressed and Anderson was hospitalized again in serious condition a few days later. He was unconsciously directed to the red room of the Unimed-Rio hospital, when the family was called for a serious conversation.

“Anderson has undergone all the treatments and they have not given the expected results because it is an extremely rare cancer on which a large clinical study has not yet been carried out. He is being treated to cure the tumor, which is very aggressive,” he explained Andreia Assis, press officer of the samba singer.
