In an interview with Rolling Stone USA, Peter Frampton celebrated his induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in the same year as Ozzy Osbourne
Well known in the 1970s and as a member of The Herd, Peter Frampton will be induced to Rock Hall of Fame in 2024 and, when he reacted to the news, he defined Ozzy Osbourneone of the biggest names in music, as “a Betty White” of rock.
It is worth remembering how White was an American actress, comedian, presenter, voice actress and writer, known for productions such as Superhotties, The proposal (2009) and Mary Tyler Moore. She died on December 31, 2021, aged 99.
During an interview with Rolling Stone USA, Frampton celebrated the event and was also asked about the induction of Ozzy. “Man is the Betty White of rock & roll,” he stated. He then commented how “fantastic” it would be if he could play “Crazy Train” as Prince of Darkness.
At another point, the artist revealed how surprised he was by his inclusion in the Rock Hall of Fame. “It’s something I never expected. Because I was eligible a long time ago, I kind of put it in the back of my mind,” she said. “It’s like before I got my first Grammy for my instrumental album, where I didn’t sing a note. I thought, ‘Oh, I’m over this. I’ll never win one Grammy.’ And look what happened. I won one Grammy.”
It’s because I keep working. I never gave up. I kept coming back and doing more stuff, and I kept touring. I rebuilt a following that is now huge.
