Dom Paulinho Lima took the stage at the Blue Note, in São Paulo, this Wednesday, 24th, accompanied by Fabulous Soul Music Band. The setlist included hits from Tim Maialike “Você”, and soul hits, like “Holding Back the Years”.

“There are some moments that make you want to cry with emotion,” he said after the presentation. “It was magical. People really come, mess with us, sing with us… This is really cool! Band in tune… I only messed up two songs today [risos]. I won’t tell you which ones. Those who watched, watched and liked it. If my mother saw me now, she would be very happy.”
When playing “Killing Me Softly With His Song”, known for the voice of Lauryn Hill, the artist made the public and employees of the place sing and dance with him. Watch:

During the show, Dom Paulinho He said that, at the age of 14, he used a market vendor’s tarpaulin to recreate a ballroom in his backyard. His friends and he stole copper from neighborhood doorbells to light the space. Then, the musician sang “Cada Um, Cada Um (A Namoradeira)”: “It was the closest we had to going to a ballroom. We played some really cool stuff, which I’m going to play here now… Only those who know will remember.”

The musician recalled his participation in the The Voice Brazil, stating that he got “scolded by a soap opera director” when he appeared in a scene that was being recorded. He also spoke about the “air bridge” from Rio de Janeiro to São Paulo, boasting: “For you it’s normal, for me it’s not. When I get on a plane, I feel like a borogodó.” Dom Paulinho drew laughter from the audience when he added that he found Brownby the country duo Bruno & Marroneand met fans at the airport until the actor Caio Castro disembarked and ended up attracting more attention than him.
