The new single, which follows the track “La Chica-cá” and the documentary “Who Is Joalin?”, receives a GTA-inspired video
After recovering her Latin roots in the single “La Chica-cá” and presenting the public with a more intimate side in the documentary “Who Is Joalin?”, the Finnish star bets on a more relaxed dance-pop in “Bikini”. The song, which exalts the joy of being young and not having big worries, contains a music video, recorded in Miami and inspired by the video game GTA Vice City.

For Joalin, “Bikini” represents a very significant change from her previous release. “It’s very different from ‘La Chica-cá’, which had a very Finnish softness and sound,” reveals the artist. “’Bikini’ is weird, it’s fast, it has a lot of funny puns, and yet it’s very Joalin. It has a mix of Latin sounds, like dembow, but ends with a very EDM beat,” she continues.
Having a solo career since 2022, after being part of the global group Now United for five years, Joalin released the EP I’m the One, with lyrics in English and Spanish, mixing Latin sounds with alternative pop and becoming an instant success – the artist accumulates more than 7 million followers on social media, making her the most followed person in Finland, and more than 200 thousand monthly listeners on Spotify alone, as well as having already been on the cover of the Scandinavian edition of Vogue. The artist, who grew up in Mexico, has a solid fan base in Brazil: her first solo performances took place in Rio de Janeiro and Sao Paulo, where she was in 2022, participating in events such as the Multishow Award and connecting with names like Pabllo Vittar, Gloria Groove and producers Ruxell and Pablo Bispo. Additionally, the clip for the EP’s title track, directed and edited by herself, features scenes recorded in the country.
