Last Wednesday evening (8), singer’s day Bruno Mars all tickets for his 4 shows in Brazil sold out, the mayor of Rio de Janeiro, Eduardo Peesdeclared that the events in the city were unauthorized.
“We have informed the show’s production team of this. […] the same day the October 4th date for the show in Rio was announced. Despite this, they sold ticketss,” he wrote about X.
According to the mayor of Rio, organizing a show of this magnitude on the eve of the municipal elections is unfeasible.
“The electoral process requires a large mobilization of public officials. This mainly concerns the police forces and the municipal guard. Let’s imagine that any important event takes place in Rio de Janeiro (I would even say in Brazil). On the eve of the elections it is absurd given the need to mobilize a large number of these same public agents“, he has declared.
“We informed the production of the artist Bruno Mars’ show on the same day that the October 4 date for the show in Rio de Janeiro was announced. Despite this, they sold tickets. The city of Rio de Janeiro did not and did not gave permission for the aforementioned show during election week“, he revealed.
Eduardo Paes said it would be an honor to welcome the singer to the city on another date.
“Outside of this period, it will be an honor to welcome the artist Bruno Mars to the city of Rio”, finished.
It is worth mentioning that the extra date of October 5 was already announced, but Livenation Brasil postponed the start of ticket sales for this show.
New dates are expected to be announced soon.
