Metallica announces donation of 100 thousand dollars to Rio Grande do Sul

Artists from around the world have contributed to helping flood victims in southern Brazil

Artists from Brazil and the rest of the world have reacted to the floods that affect Rio Grande do Sul. This Friday, the 10th, the Metallica announced on social media the donation of US$ 100,000 to flood victims through All Within My Hands Foundationcreated by the band itself.

Faced with the worst flood in recent memory, Rio Grande do Sul urgently needs support and relief. Almost 1.5 million people were affected by the disaster, including at least 105 people who lost their lives, another 130 still missing and more than 230,000 displaced from their homes.
#AWMH is awarding $100,000 to long-time partner, @directrelief. The nonprofit humanitarian organization is coordinating with the Pan American Health Organization (@opspaho) to provide urgently needed assistance.
