Dua Lipa has the biggest opening week for a British female

Singer Dua Lipa managed to settle down the biggest opening week for a British woman with his latest album Radical optimism.

In total, Lipa has sold more than 46,300 units of his new album and topped the UK charts in the first seven days of its release, outselling the album 30 In Adelewhich achieved the same performance in November 2021.

Radical optimism also boasts the biggest opening week of any British music artist to date in 2024, surpassing the album of Liam Gallagher AND Giovanni Scudierowhich has reached the threshold of 39,400 copies in the first week of March.

Radical optimism becomes Dua Lipa’s first album to debut at number one in the UK. To give you an idea, the predecessor Nostalgia for the futureone of the artist’s most popular works, it reached the top of the UK chart in its second week.
