Ticket presale for Rock in Rio 2024, which opened this Monday (20/5), sold out in just two hours and 15 minutes. The 40th anniversary edition of the festival has aroused great anticipation among fans.
High pre-sale demand
The presale, reserved for Itaú, Credicard and Iti credit card customers, was characterized by strong demand. More than 150,000 people were simultaneously queuing to secure tickets. Tickets for September 13, 14, 20 and 22, featuring headliners including Travis Scott, Imagine Dragons, Katy Perry and Shawn Mendes respectively, sold out in less than an hour.
Sales to other states
About 40% of tickets sold went to people outside Rio de Janeiro, demonstrating the event’s national reach. The historic milestone was reached with the sale of 300 thousand tickets, including pre-sales with the Rock in Rio Card and Club and Itaú pre-sales.
Upcoming sales
The opening of general ticket sales – i.e. for those who are not customers of the promoting bank – is scheduled for this Thursday (23/5) at 7pm, exclusively on the Ticketmaster website. Those who have purchased the Rock in Rio Card will now be able to select their preferred date until Tuesday (21/5) at 7pm, on the festival’s official website. Rock in Rio Club members have until May 23, 12pm, to purchase their tickets.
