The final phase of the competition takes place with a party in Pelourinho
Salvador – Artists and lovers of ancient carnivals have the opportunity to revive the magic of Momo with the “1st Marche Carnival Competition – Waiting for Momo”, which aims to bring together composers of different generations to present their works.
Registrations are open until June 10th, by filling out the form available on the block’s official Instagram (@blocoqueroveromomo). With a free theme, interested parties, who must be over 18 years old and live in El Salvador or the Metropolitan Region, will be able to present their new creations.
The initiative of the Associação Cultural e Carnavalesca Quero Ver o Momo has as its main objective to encourage creativity and cultural expression, keeping the tradition of carnival marches alive. The final phase of the competition will take place on July 2nd, at 3pm, in Largo Quincas Berro D’Água, in Pelourinho, with free entry.
