Writing to her followers online, Carey stated that her Christmas tour was heading to the United Kingdom and Malta, adding that she was looking forward to celebrating with everyone when tickets go on sale on September 25.

British concert dates and venues

The newly revealed schedule includes three major UK arena appearances set for late autumn. The tour will open its British leg on Friday, November 27, at the Utilita Arena in Birmingham, a major venue located in the West Midlands.

Carey will then perform on Monday, November 30, at The O2 in London, the iconic entertainment venue on the Greenwich Peninsula. The British run concludes on Wednesday, December 2, at the Co-op Live arena in Manchester, located adjacent to the Etihad Campus.

The announcement also includes performance stops in Malta, marking an expansion of her European holiday show presence. The sequence of early dates highlights how Carey's annual festive preparations arrive earlier each autumn.

The annual holiday defrosting tradition

Carey's return to the stage each autumn has become an established tradition within pop culture. Each year, the seasonal transition from autumn to the Christmas holidays is marked internationally by her re-emergence across media platforms.

What began as a lighthearted online joke regarding her defrosting following Halloween has developed into a carefully managed media event. The singer uses the period to celebrate the holiday season through glamorous, nostalgic live productions.

All I Want for Christmas Is You history

The central driver of Carey's holiday empire remains her festive song All I Want for Christmas Is You. Originally released in 1994 as part of her fourth studio album, Merry Christmas, the track challenged music industry conventions during the 1990s.

Over the decades, the single has consolidated its standing as a primary holiday anthem. Its resonance across multiple generations turns the track into an annual fixture that returns to global prominent play every December.

Streaming records and commercial success

The track holds the record as the most streamed Christmas song of all time on digital music platforms. During last Christmas Eve, the single set an industry milestone by surpassing 23 million global streams within a single 24-hour period.

The single achieved a historic milestone on the United States Billboard Hot 100 chart by climbing to the number one spot 25 years after its initial release. It continues to return to the top position on the weekly rankings each holiday season.

The song has sold more than 16 million copies worldwide and generates an estimated annual revenue exceeding three million dollars in publishing royalties alone. With tickets going on sale on September 25, music fans in the UK and Malta are preparing for the live performances of the world's most famous Christmas song.
