Dan Reynolds, from the band Imagine Dragons, remembers his childhood in Brazil

A imagine Dragons returns to Brazil in the next edition of Rock in Rio, which takes place between the 13th and 22nd of September, in Rio de Janeiro, and to Dan Reynoldsvocalist and leader of the North American band, coming to the country is always more special, because it reminds him of when he traveled here as a child.

“For a while now, I’ve been saying how much I love Brazil. And I know that Brazilians can see my joy every time I go on stage there”declared in an interview with the newspaper The globe. According to the singer, his passion came with the help of his father, Ronald Reynoldswho was a Mormon missionary and spent time in Brazil on evangelizing missions:

“I grew up influenced by Brazilian music. On trips to the country, I remember drinking guaraná and going to steakhouses”remember Dan.

6th time in Brazil

The performance at Rock in Rio, on September 14th, marks the sixth visit of the imagine Dragons for Brazil. This time, the band will be the headliner of the day, performing on Palco Mundo, the main stage of the Rio festival, with a show entirely based on the band’s sixth album, Loomwhich will be released on June 28.

“[O álbum] It’s about new beginnings and the sorrows and joys that come with them.”said Dan. “We are excited, preparing a new production for the stage and, of course, a new setlist.”
