Felipe Pezzoni was hospitalized and underwent emergency surgery due to compression of a cervical hernia in the spinal cord
Singer Felipe Pezzoni, of Banda Eva, has revealed that he underwent emergency surgery at the Cardio Pulmonar Hospital, in Salvador, Bahia. He broke the news on Instagram, explaining the reason for the need for urgent surgery.
“First of all, I’m better and healthier than ever. I just wanted to share a little piece of what my last week has been like, it’s been a busy few days, but I took it as a gentle reminder that we must always honor and nurture the our temple”, he began.
Diagnosis and surgery
The singer explained that he took advantage of the holidays to investigate persistent tingling and discovered that it was due to the compression of a cervical hernia on the spinal cord. “In five days I took the tests, scheduled the surgery, admitted myself, underwent surgery and was discharged. A great God sent the best team to guide me through this process, as well as exceptional professionals and incredible human beings .”
Recovery and postponement of the show
Now, the singer of the band axĂ© continues to recover. “I continue to recover and take care of myself in the comfort of my family. I will be back soon, ready to continue my mission, which is to bring you music and love.”
For this reason Felipe stated that he had to postpone the show scheduled for May in Chile. “The show that we would have done in Chile at the end of May at Salve Salvador World has been postponed to August 10th and 11th. Unfortunately, when events of this nature cause us they cross, we have no choice but to participate in it. August is right there, I’m sure we will have an even better party, and with this update of the column then,” he said.
