Chico Bernardes has a new single, titled “Motivos.” “”Motive” is about that spark that involves igniting curiosity in what we do and choose to do. It is also linked to the idea of ​​a small melodic motif that can grow and become material for a great song, all starting from a direct and simple idea”, says the artist on his Instagram profile.

“Motivos” is part of Chico’s second album, More threadswhich hits the world on June 28th via Canadian label People’s Champs @peopleschampmgt.

“Second single from my second album, this track is a sort of “opening title” for the album. It was thanks to her that I started recording and experimenting with the album, and I think it was one of the last ones I finished. It was a fun project, I tested it and tried it to see where it worked, then I scratched it out: timbres, rhythms, grooves, percussion, bass lines. Eventually I got back to the essential idea and closed the lid. It was fun,” explains Chico, who comes from a talented family, is the brother of Tim Bernardes and son of Maurício Pereira.
