Singer Lady Gaga sparked controversy when she said she performed shows while infected with Covid-19.
The revelation came to light this week in a chat with fans to promote a documentary by the singer that will premiere this Saturday (5/25) on Max. The special captures the final show of “The Chromatic Ball” tour in United States. started in July 2022.
Controversial statement
“I’ve done five shows with Covid-19,” Gaga said during a Q&A with fans.
“Wow. Lady Gaga lets everyone know she performed with Covid and in return gets applause from the audience. What a crazy society we live in,” one person complained on X (formerly Twitter). “You say you did 5 shows with Covid-19 and the presenter laughs and the audience applauds? We are in a dystopia”, added another.
Tour and documentary
The tour spanned Europe, North America and Asia. One of the performances in the United States is the one depicted in the streaming special, titled after the tour, “Chromatica Ball”. The show was recorded in front of an audience of over 50 thousand people at Dodger Stadium, in Los Angeles.
