The first day of the Salve o Sul Festival raises R$8 million for the victims of the rains in RS

The presentation of the show “Amigos” brought together Chitãozinho, Chororó, Leonardo, Zezé di Camargo and Luciano in a show at Allianz Parque

The first day of the Salve o Sul Festival, held on Friday evening (7/6) at Allianz Parque, in Sao Paulo, brought together more than 26 thousand people for the “Amigos” show, which brought together five country music stars, Zezé Di Camargo & Luciano, Chitãozinho & Xororó and Leonardo. Thanks to his skills, the event raised R$8 million to help the victims of the rains in Rio Grande do Sul.

Three hours of great successes

During the three-hour show, Amigos rocked the audience with a setlist of 39 hits, including “Eu Juro,” “É o Amor,” “Fio de Cabelo” and “Disparada.” Emotion took over the audience, especially during the song “Estrada da Vida”, when Luísa Sonza couldn’t hold back her tears.

Leonardo paid a moving tribute to his brother Leandro, who passed away in 1998, during the song “Mano”. The images of Leandro on the screen and Leonardo’s crying moved everyone. Another noteworthy moment was the performance of “Galopeeeeeeeira”, when Xororó asked the audience to sing along with them, resulting in an impressive chorus.

Noble cause

The meeting of Friends was also marked by references to Rio Grande do Sul “Everyone came here with their hearts, with affection, to embrace this State of which we are very proud. On behalf of the people of Rio Grande do Sul, thank you, San Paolo,” Chitãozinho said. Leonardo then reiterated the need for help: “The Gauchos really need the help of the Brazilian people right now. Let’s all go together, my people.”

At the end of the show, Zezé Di Camargo and Luciano presented Luísa Sonza with a flag of Rio Grande do Sul, symbolizing the continuity of the festival, which returns on Sunday (5/9). “Now this flag is yours. There will be more on Sunday! Good luck, Luísa,” Zezé said. “Thank you Luísa, once again. Congratulations on your effort,” Luciano added.
