Entrepreneur Paula Cardoso complains of “so much dirt” behind the scenes and the lack of loyalty towards the memory of the former singer
Paula Cardoso, widow of Anderson Leonardo (1972-2024), spoke about the legal battle between the artist’s heirs and the members of Molejo. On Instagram, the businesswoman complained about “so much filth” and a lack of loyalty to the singer’s legacy. “It’s too easy to say,” she wrote.
“It is very sad to see that everything you loved most in life is lost in the midst of so much filth, filth that you too have always known, but that you have always thought more of others than of yourself!”, declared Paula in a publication on appearing alongside Anderson.
“I’m sorry if I’m crying today, not just from longing, but from anger at everything that’s going on. And I promise you that for our ‘Alice,’ whatever depends on my strength and disposition, I will fight to make it happen. everything you have always dreamed of, with honesty, with character, with respect and, above all, love for the music that I have learned to admire thanks to you!!!”
Paula Cardoso then criticized the members of the Molejo for not having honored the memory of the pagodeiro: “Talking about legacy is very easy in words. Legacy also means being loyal to what you wanted, having empathy and respect, especially with the man who I managed to win on my own without overtaking anyone! Maybe I won’t succeed, but I will try until the end to make you proud of your true legacy!”
Tribute to the family
In the comments of the publication, the public assessed that part of the statement refers to the song “Alice”, which was allegedly written by Anderson for his future granddaughter. The song was played at the “Encontro” by the members of Molejo, not to mention that the tribute was dedicated to the former singer’s daughter.
“I hope everything goes well and everyone continues to be at peace and honor the legacy Anderson left. I really understand Paula’s upset, but I hope everything goes well,” one Internet user wrote. “My God. What a lack of respect for the memory of Anderson Leonardo. He would never have imagined so many people without true love. He is not at peace,” another profile rated.
Another damn mess
The members of Molejo were allegedly prevented from using the pagode group’s trademark after a dispute with the heirs of Anderson Leonardo, who is responsible for the current administration of the trademark and the registration of the trademark at the INPI (National Institute of Industrial Property).
The confusion apparently began after the musicians informed the company Molejo Produções and Eventos Eireli that they were no longer interested in the group’s services. In the document they specify that they will continue to respect the contract until the established date, and subsequently the expected commitments would be covered by another administration.
However, the musicians were informed that they will not be able to use the Molejo brand in shows that are not programmed by the heirs’ company. Despite the information, they continue to perform in Brazil under the official name, which is a brand already known by fans.
