Nahim’s death is considered “suspicious” and his ex-wife has given statements to the police

Civil police are investigating the singer’s death, which occurred shortly after a visit from his ex-wife in the early hours of Thursday

Nahim’s ex-wife, Andreia Andrade, was taken to the police station to give a statement about the singer’s death in the early hours of this Thursday (13/6). The police, who consider the death suspicious, obtained information that the artist’s ex-wife left the residence where she lived, in Taboão da Serra (SP), around 1 am, after having spent a “night of reconciliation”. At 3.30am the center received a call advising of a possible domestic incident on site. When officers arrived at the address provided, the singer was found dead.

Meeting on Valentine’s Day

Sources reported that Nahim and Andreia met on Wednesday (12), Valentine’s Day, willing to resume their marriage. They had been separated for eight months and in that period the businesswoman had also participated in the Record reality show “A Grande Conquista 2”.

Andreia left the singer’s residence and was informed of Nahim’s death by relatives, who were contacted by a team of SBT reporters at 3:30 am and woke up in despair to the news. They were aware of Nahim’s meeting with Andreia and contacted her to find out more details. In addition to Andreia’s statement, the police will also analyze the security cameras around Nahim’s residence to obtain more information.

Police investigation

The Civil Police are working on the hypothesis that the singer fell down the stairs and hit his head. He was located after a telephone crew, who were repairing a pole, saw him lying in the room. After the police arrived, the body was taken to the Forensic Medical Institute (IML). The sectional delegate of Taboão da Serra, Helio Bresser, stated that the house was locked from the inside, indicating that the victim was alone at the time of the fall. But nothing is ruled out at the moment.

“This is a suspicious death. Everything leads us to believe that the person fell down the stairs and died below, but the reason for the fall needs to be clarified”, the delegate explained to the press. “Suppose, for example, he had a heart attack or a stroke. You need to identify the signs presented by the body to understand whether it was a death,” explained Bresser.

The police are waiting for a forensic assessment and the IML report to proceed with the case. The report must be submitted within the next 30 days.

Who was the singer Nahim?

Born in Miguelópolis, in the hinterland of São Paulo, Nahim gained notoriety in the 1980s, attending auditorium programs and distinguishing himself in the “Qual É a Música?” competition. from the Silvio Santos Program, on SBT. He was discovered as a teenager by producer Mister Sam in 1980, who promoted the artist under the code name “Baby Face”, recording two singles in English. The following year he began his national career with his first album in Portuguese. In total, more than 14 albums and 86 songs were released, including the hits “Dá Coração”, “Coração de Melão” and “Taka Taka”.
