In social media posts, Corey Taylor revealed how ‘ongoing illness’ was responsible for the cancellation of shows at festivals in Europe
Known as vocalist and frontman of bands such as Slipknot It is Stone Sour, Corey Taylor canceled second solo festival show due to “ongoing illness.”
Last Wednesday, 12th, Taylor had to cancel the presentation Rock For Peoplein the Czech Republic, and, the following day, he also withdrew from the show that would take place in Nova Rock Festival, in Austria. In a post made on social media, he spoke about the matter and regretted what happened.
“To my friends and family in the Czech Republic – I’m sorry to say that I woke up very ill today and as a result will not be able to perform at the festival Rock For People,” wrote the 50-year-old artist.
“The health and safety of my band and crew is always our priority on the road and I don’t want to cause any more problems by trying to perform today,” he continued. Corey Taylor. “I’m really sorry to everyone who was looking forward to this performance at Rock For People and I promise I will come back and make it up to you.”
On June 13, the singer announced yet another cancellation due to his “ongoing illness,” which is hampering his schedule: “I deeply regret having to cancel another performance, but my priority continues to be keeping our band and team healthy while I do everything I can to rest and heal. I hope to see my Austrian friends again soon, when I can give them the performance they deserve.”
