Singer Nahim was veiled during a ceremony at the Legislative Assembly of São Paulo (Alesp) until the morning of Friday 14. The wake, open to the public, was attended by friends, family and fans and the coffin was left on site earth so that even his dogs could greet him.

During the wake, Nahim’s ex-wife, businesswoman Andreia de Andrade, was very emotional. They separated late last year after five years of marriage. In total, the couple has been together for 13 years.
In an interview with TV Globo, Andreia said her ex-husband left a list of requests for when he died. These include playing music at the farewell ceremony and wearing the Corinthians shirt.
“And he always asked, ‘The day I die, I want lots of music at my funeral. I don’t want sadness.’ He left a list of requests, and one of them was music. Coffin on the floor, puppies around him, no flowers , white shorts, Corinthians t-shirt and bare feet”, revealed the businesswoman.
Nahim will be buried this Friday at 4pm, in Miguelópolis, in the hinterland of São Paulo, the city where he was born.

Death of Nahim
The successful singer of the 80s Nahim Jorge Elias Júnior, known as Nahim, died on Thursday 13 years old, at the age of 71, in Taboão da Serra, Greater São Paulo. OR Earth found that the Military Police (PM) were called to respond to the incident at 3.12am on Thursday morning. A fiber optic technical operator who was in the region saw, through the window, Nahim lying inside the house with his body covered in blood.
Teams of the military police, firefighters and the mobile emergency service (Samu) intervened on site in the Jardim Bom Tempo neighborhood and confirmed the death. Nahim’s body was found stiff and bruised. He was alone inside the house and the suspicion is that he fell from the stairs of the house.
The Secretariat of Public Security informed the journalist that the Civil Police is investigating the musician’s death. The body was sent to the Institute of Forensic Medicine and the case was registered as a suspicious death at the 1st DP of Taboão da Serra.

Nahim’s career
Nahim was born in 1952, in the city of Miguelópolis (SP). He started playing at the age of 10, with the musical group New Edition. The singer gained popularity in the 80s when he participated in talk shows and won awards What is the song?from the Silvio Santos Program, on SBT.
Some of his hit songs are Shut up, Donate Heart, Melon Heart, Open Eyes and Taka Taka. In total, she has released more than 14 albums and 86 songs.
During his career, Nahim has also participated in several reality shows such as Opposites attracton SBT, in 2010, Aprendiz Celebridades, in 2014, and The farm: new possibilitiesfrom RecordTV, in 2017. In 2020 he ran for city councilor in São Paulo, but withdrew from the campaign six days before the elections.
