Deep Purple will perform in Sao Paulo a few days before Rock in Rio


The heavy metal band has confirmed a unique performance in the capital of Sao Paulo, two days before the Rio festival

The group Deep Purple has confirmed another performance in Brazil this Friday (14/6). The pioneering heavy metal rock band will perform at Espaço Unimed, in Sao Paulo, on September 13, two days before the show at Rock in Rio.

Tickets will be available from Monday (17/6) at 10am on the Ticket 360 platform, with prices ranging between R$ 350 (half price/track) and R$ 850 (full price/box).

Deep Purple’s last show in Brazil was in April last year, at the Brazilian version of the Monsters of Rock festival, which packed Sao Paulo’s Allianz Parque stadium. On the current tour, the band celebrates the 50th anniversary of the album “Machine Head”, which includes the hit “Smoke on the Water”.

Deep Purple’s current lineup includes three “survivors” of the classic 1972 album: singer Ian Gillan, bassist Roger Glover and drummer Ian Paice, who on tour are accompanied by keyboardist Don Airey, who has been with the band since 2001 , and by guitarist Simon McBride, member since 2022.

Furthermore, the band is about to release their new studio album, titled “=1”, scheduled for release on July 19th this year.
