Justin Timberlake was arrested on Monday (6/17) for drunk driving in the Hamptons, New York, United States. According to TMZ sources, the singer was driving under the influence of alcohol after going out with friends for dinner at a local hotel.
The Police Department confirmed that the artist is being held at a police station in the coastal village of Sag Harbor. However, the authorities did not reveal the real reasons that led to his arrest. Timberlake is scheduled to appear in court this Tuesday (6/18).
Justin Timberlake’s team also stated that he was arrested for traffic violations, but the police guarantee that they do not hold anyone under arrest for common violations. Therefore, the artist will have to be released after paying bail.
The singer is completing a concert schedule in the North American country, with two shows scheduled this weekend in Chicago, as well as two more next week in New York.
