The artist was accused of copying a little-known song by producer James A. Greene, who filed a lawsuit last year, claiming that the producer of AttackJ White, had access to his music, It’s about to start.
James Greene claimed that Stallion’s track was copied from his work, stating that the producer obtained the track through his manager.
However, the judge ruled that there was not enough evidence to support the charge and dismissed the case altogether, noting that there was no evidence that Megan Thee Stallion or Warner had listened to Greene’s track.
He highlighted the lack of substantial similarities between the rhythms, drum patterns and vocals of the two songs.
Greene’s track was not widely distributed, which played a key role in dismissing accusations against the hip-hop star.
