Brazilian pop rock band formed in Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais, Duck Fu celebrated 30 years of career in style, with the release of the album Liquidificafu Rotorquestramade in partnership with Ouro Preto Orchestraresponsible for reimagining the successes of the group formed by Fernanda Takai, John Ulhoa, Ricardo Koctus, Richard Neves It is Xande Tamietti.
It’s worth remembering how the album arrived this Friday, 21st, on music streaming platforms via ONErpmwith orchestrated versions of the group’s hits, such as “About the weather,” “I’m A Little Disconnected” It is “Song for You to Live Longer.” Arrangements were made by Paulo Malheiros and under the regency of Conductor Rodrigo Toffolo.
In total, there are 17 tracks present in the partnership, recorded live at Palace of Arts, in BH. In an exclusive statement to Rolling Stone Brazil, John Ulhoa celebrated the album, which also features less popular songs than Duck Fu.
“This opportunity to do shows and an album with Outo Preto Orchestra is a true gift for the Duck Fu,” he stated. “It was a chance to include not only the band’s classics, but also B-Sides that had been out of our shows for years.”
These are chilling arrangements, which shed a different light on our repertoire, making Pato Fu’s 30th anniversary an even more special celebration.
Already the first live celebration of Liquidificafu Rotorquestra will take place next Saturday, 22nd, with a free live show at Copacabana beachRio de Janeiro, at Posto 2.
